Chelsea is blooming this week as the Royal Hospital plays host to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2014, one of the highlights of the gardening calendar.
Special floral displays have been added to many shop fronts and windows in Sloane Square and the surrounding streets - in the Hugo Boss window mannequins mingle with cascades of green foliage and bright blooms, while over at Rag & Bone, shoppers are welcomed in under a floral arch in complementary reds, yellows, oranges and purples. Bird cages and roses create a sophisticated entrance at the Sloane Square Hotel.
But our favourite display can be found at estate agents Hamptons, where tall colourful flowers are displayed in wellie boots, fixed on railings and in the basket of an old school bicycle propped up outside. The show closes on Saturday, 24 May.

Portrait headed to Pulse this week to check out the latest AW14 collections from Wild & Wolf and Tori Murphy. Held at Earl’s Court, Pulse features new and innovative gifts and home products from over 500 designers. We’re looking forward to getting creative and testing our spelling with Wild & Wolf’s Scrabble Chunky Wooden Magnets come autumn, and we loved Tori’s striking fabrics in new hot pink and grey. We are coveting the hot water bottle covers for the cooler months.

Easter wouldn’t be the same without a visit from the Easter bunny and here at the Portrait office we are lucky enough to have our very own Easter sausage bunny-dog!
With the help of some Steiff rabbit ears, Archie was instantly transformed into a bouncing bunny – he may not have a basket full of tasty treats (only fish-flavoured jerky and old bones) but Easter cuddles are guaranteed! (Far better for the waistline!)
Wishing you all a very happy Easter!

It was treats galore for Portrait this Mothering Sunday, starting off with a Steiff teddy dressed in Chanel pearls in You Magazine's yummy mummy and daughter-themed main fashion pages, followed by pastel Content by Conran side tables in a sugar-sweet interiors spread. Next up, a Wild & Wolf classic phone in the Sunday Mirror, followed by a Sunday Times quadruple whammy: Branksome China in The Sunday Times Style, Original BTC and Davey Lighting in the Sunday Times Home, plus Talking Tables in the Funday Times. Fun times indeed.

We're proud to see so much Talking Tables bunting in 'Outdoor Living', the stunningly shot new book by stylist Selina Lake. Lots of inspiring ideas for making the most of the outdoors, from alfresco dinners to garden lounging in style. Bring on summer!

For all 'Mr Selfridge' fans glued to the Agnes Towler/Henri Leclerc 'will they won't they' love story, we're sure you'll agree that this Davey Lighting Shipyard pendant in copper will make the path to happiness that bit clearer.... Perhaps Victor Colliano should get one to stay in the game (there's a galvanised version, Victor, as well as the brand new wall light models, if you don't want to be matchy-matchy)....

Congratulations to one of our best loved stylists, Gabby Deeming, on the recent unveiling of her traffic stopping window displays at Harrods.
Several glamorous room sets are on show until the 3rd March in association with House & Garden and 'Harrods is home', each certain to bring a jolt of colour and intrigue to wet and windy Brompton Road. Catch them while you can.

Portrait headed off to ‘the city of light’ recently for Maison et Objet, one of the biggest events in the design calendar. Held every 6 months, Maison is a celebration of everything that’s hot in homewares and design.
In the prestigious Hall 8, Content by Conran caught our eye having transformed their stand into an outpost of Conran cool. Decorated with striking canvases of founder Sir Terence himself, each from a different era in his design history, the stand was a trove of goodies from their latest collections.
Alongside some of their bestselling pieces (including our favourite, the award winning Wave sideboard) were two new additions; the very decadent looking L shaped Studio sofa with chaise and the newly launched Pelham range – storage at its most versatile.
We are already looking forward to next years jaunt...Vive le Conran!

And here they are....Peter and Charlie Bowles, as seen in the December issue of Elle Decoration.
Proud and deserving winners of the magazine's inaugural 'Made in the UK' award. Hip hip hooray!!!!

When we invited Elle Deco Features Editor Amy Bradford to our Christmas in July press show to meet Original BTC owners Peter and Charlie Bowles, little did we know that six months later, the British manufacturing group would be proud winners of Elle Deco's inaugural 'Made in the UK' award, selected and sponsored by John Lewis. Our very first clients, we met Peter and Charlie in 2009 and have since then worked tirelessly - if we do say so ourselves - to promote the duo's 'Made in Britain' ethos. Now making up one third of our client basis with brands Original BTC, Beadlight, Branksome China, Bowles & Bowles, Davey Lighting and English Antique Glass, we raise a glass to Peter and Charlie and look forward to many more years working together.
