It's been a little while since Archie the Portrait Pup graced these pages. So for all the sausage lovers out there, here he is enjoying a little Easter culture at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Archie may or may not have lifted his leg on the Henry Moore....

Portrait puppy Archie will have to be kept well away from the beautiful hand-tufted rugs from flooring specialist Top Floor. We're delighted to be expanding our portfolio of Chelsea Harbour Design Centre clients and look forward to sinking our teeth (and feet) into Top Floor's luxurious designs.

If you go down to the woods today, you might be lucky enough to find a teddy bear by heritage manufacturer Steiff, shortlisted in the Classic Toy Category of the Junior Design Awards. Watch this space...

Design Week at Chelsea Harbour saw the launch of new box lights by Davey Lighting. Hand-made at Davey's Birmingham metalworks, the weathered brass lanterns come in all shapes and sizes and can also be supersized for grand projects. We're dreaming of a double fronted Georgian house with a Davey box pendant hanging proudly under the portico...

If, however, you're childishly amused by repetitive swearing AND you're an interiors buff, you'll love irreverent design blog F**k Your Noguchi Coffee Table. A clever edit of cool interiors photography is given the simple but effective FYNCT treatment, with 'F**k your ikat upholstery' currently running as a particular favourite amongst the blog's growing army of fans. We also enjoyed 'f**ck your empty frames'. Ahem. Follow @FYNCT for a daily dose of furniture funnies.

Perhaps inspired by her recent visit to Paris, Gwynnie has once again posted about her favourite French beauty finds. According to her blog, the squeaky clean actress likes to keep bottles of Compagnie de Provence's fig liquid soap in her kitchen and bathrooms. As do we, Gwyneth, as do we.... 

Great excitement for Compagnie de Provence at Maison et Objet - Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow visited the stand to tell the team how much she loves their glass-bottled soap. And the Oscar for best new liquid Marseille soap goes to Compagnie de Provence's Extra Pur Violette!

And it's on to Paris for Maison et Objet, visiting clients Original BTC and Davey Lighting. As usual, the stand was buzzing with visitors admiring the latest launches including early prototypes of the new Stanley table lamps. We chatted, we ate and we headed home happy, ready for Spring Fair Birmingham and Ambiente Frankfurt. Whoever said January was supposed to be a quiet month?

Over the road at Top Drawer, we were greeted by a sight for sore eyes - three Portrait clients all in a row! In addition to Compagnie de Provence (winner of Top Drawer's best stand), Talking Tables and Bombay Duck, we also visited clients Wild & Wolf and Mirabelle Jewellery. Next stop Maison et Objet...

Happy 2012 one and all! It's January, which means show time for our manufacturer clients. A month of trade fairs begins with the inaugural Home Show at Earl's Court. In association with Top Drawer, The Home Show gives London  buyers the opportunity to check out the latest furniture and homewares collections. We were pretty impressed - some great brands we'd not seen exhibiting in London before including our client Content by Conran. With all upholstery now made in Britain, Content have plenty to shout about this year...
